One of the biggest is YouTube. It seems you can hear almost any song, by typing the title into a Youtube search field. In the old music business these was a scary thought. Anybody can hear my music for free at any time? Yes that’s basically it. But instead of crying and whining about it, I decided to embrace it. As a matter of fact I am giving away 2 songs for free to anyone whom wants to join my mailing list. I believe it is most valuable to have a large group of fans and establish a relationship with them. I want you to get to know me and my music. And I believe that when my music is good enough and resonates with you, it will inspire you to come to one of our shows or buy our latest record.

So I have been organizing my youTube page: youtube.com/nilsguitar. And I hope for fans of Jazz guitar I am offering a variety of interesting videos. There are several categories to explore, like instructional videos, live concert videos and music videos.
For those of you who are not familiar with my music let me give you a few highlights:
– I recorded a duet with George Benson on my debut CD Blue Planet. George also recorded my song Keep Rollin’ on his “Standing Together” CD.
– I was nominated along with George Benson for best Guitarist at the American Contemporary Jazz Awards, but neither of us won. Damn you Peter White   :0)    …
– I wrote and produced the most played Contemporary Jazz song on Smooth Jazz Radio from 2000 to 2010 entitled “Pacific Coast Highway” – ‘Song of the Decade’ according to Billboard.
– I published an instructional book about jazz guitar improvisation, entitled “How to Make your Guitar Talk”
– I also published a songbook “Nils Guitar Hits” with backing tracks, tablature and transposed lead sheets for the horn players.

On my Youtube page I am adding instructional jazz guitar videos to go along with my books. In these videos I am demonstrating some of the trickier passages from the song book.
Furthermore I published a series of live concert videos on this page. These are videos taken from some of our live performances at clubs and jazz festivals. Another section features music videos.
